Preview for Chapter 8 of My AschLuke AU Fan-fiction -
"Asch often let his mind wander during the middle of class but as of late, he only thought of Luke. Was he okay? Was he sick? Susanna and Duke both rejected Asch coming into Luke's room, saying it was a horrible illness. Asch gnawed on his pencil, something he had also been doing as of late. The door opened, Asch instantly raising his head. "It's good to see you again, Mister Fabre." A black hat rested on Luke's head, confusing Asch. "Take a seat. We are discussing proper attitude to the Fon Master this Undine Day." Legretta told him. Luke nodded, a single lock of his fiery red hair shifting from under his hat. At least that made Asch feel better. It mean that Luke wasn't sick with cancer. However, why Luke was even wearing the hat was still bothering him. "Luke!!" Guy called, grabbing Luke's shoulder. The 17-year old turned to his golden haired friend. "Hey, what's with the hat? And why were you absent?" Luke was silent and got his arm out of Guy's grasp. "Luke?" "Sorry... I was really sick." He pointed out, his voice quiet. "Luke?!" "I need to go--" "No." Guy and Luke turned, seeing Asch. The crowds of students rushed pass them to go home. "You will tell me what this is all about Luke." Asch glared at Luke, the boy visibly flinching. "Look, mom and dad told you I was sick." "Luke...." "That's all." "LUKE!!" Asch grabbed hold of his hand before he could run and pulled him harshly. The pull called the hat on his head to come off. However, Asch and Guy both gasped. Luke's hair was not the long running rivers but rather shorter, to his shoulders. His eyes were brighter in the light of the sun and Asch let him go. Luke stared at them both, seeing their jaws drop. "Luke? Your hair..." "You cut it..." Guy noted, blinking. Luke growled. "I'm going home!!" He shouted, turning and running before either of them could catch him. Later on in the day, Asch saw Luke come into the house. "Luke..." "Leave me alone..." Asch got up and touched Luke's shoulder. Luke went to smack his hand away but saw the gold in his eyes. "Luke... Please don't keep pushing me away." Asch pressed his lips to Luke's but realized Luke didn't kiss back. "Luke, tell me why you cut your hair." Removing his hand, Asch allowed Luke to move. The shorter boy moved, standing in front of Asch. A huge smile came to his face as his hands went behind his back. The black shirts they wore shifted as Luke took in a breathe and Asch held his.
